Grant Opportunity--Using Music to Teach Mathematics
Grants are available for teachers of grades K-2. The purpose of this grant is to incorporate music into the elementary school classroom to help young students learn mathematics. Grant Opportunity--Airborne Teacher Trust Fund
The Airborne Teacher Trust Fund, a nonprofit charitable corporation, will fund art and music programs in elementary and middle schools that are in jeopardy of being lost due to budgetary cuts or limitations. Grants ranging from $200 to $10,000 will be awarded to teachers in select states to implement programs during the 2006-07 school year. For more information, visit their web site.

Talent Search for Exceptional Students
The National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) is accepting 2006-2007 registrations from young artists for its NFAA Arts Recognition and Talent Search® (ARTS) program. NFAA identifies and rewards exceptional students from across the U.S. in nine art disciplines including classical, pop and jazz music. Awards package includes more than $500,000 in cash awards. Deadline: October 2, 2006.
